A Blessed Wife At Home: chapter 26

Within this kilometer radius, every tree, every blade of grass, every flower, and even a small ant on a grass root, on the ground, or within the branches and leaves, it was as if she could see them all vividly.

“Let’s go there!” Qiuxuan smiled and pointed left in front, leading Shaoyunduan to go over.

Seeing her so excited, Shaoyunduan couldn’t bear to dampen her spirits and followed her.

Then, they found a clump of grass mushrooms under a tree. The gray-brown caps and plump white stems were especially cute. Qiuxuan’s eyes lit up and she smiled, “We’re really lucky!”

Shaoyunduan saw her squatting down to pick them and couldn’t help but ask, “Are you sure they’re not poisonous?”

“Of course!” Qiuxuan took a bite confidently, “See!”

“Hey, you–” Shaoyunduan hurriedly tried to stop her but it was too late. He quickly said, “What are you doing? Spit it out!”

Qiuxuan spit it out, still smiling, “See, it’s not poisonous, right?”

Shaoyunduan: “……”

Shaoyunduan didn’t know what to say.

Actually, there was no need to take such risks!

He was a little scared and said, “Next time, just pick them without trying them yourself. When we bring them back, we can test them by feeding them to the chickens and make sure they’re safe before eating them ourselves.”

It wasn’t worth risking her life for mushrooms.

Qiuxuan chuckled and nodded, “Okay, I’ll listen to you!”

Shaoyunduan looked at her and thought, “I told you not to pick them, why don’t you listen to me?”

Qiuxuan beckoned to him, “Hurry up and help me pick!”

Shaoyunduan had no reason to refuse and could only resign himself to squatting down to help her pick mushrooms.

Afterwards, they found several other types of mushrooms such as brown-yellow wild enokitake mushrooms, dark red mushrooms, fragrant shiitake mushrooms, wood ear mushrooms, and pine milk mushrooms. They even picked several rare boletus mushrooms.

If the basket could hold more, they could have picked even more.

On a hillside, they also found many fat and tender ferns. Qiuxuan gathered a large bundle of them and tied them together with long grass…

Qiuxuan was satisfied and smiled, “A rich harvest! We’re so lucky today!”

Shaoyunduan’s eyes flashed with a hint of amusement and he nodded, “Hmm.”

He was amazed beyond words…

Although there were quite a few mushrooms in the mountains, they were not available for picking everywhere like this, right?

What kind of luck was this?

Just as they were about to head back, they coincidentally ran into Shaoxiaoqi and Shaotaotao, who were also exploring the mountains.

“Wu Ge, Wu Sao!”

The two younger siblings waved and greeted them, running over cheerfully.

“Xiaoqi, Taotao, what a coincidence, you’re here too!” Qiuxuan’s eyes lit up.

Shaoxiaoqi scratched his head and grinned, “Um, the other day, I set some traps in the mountains over there and came to check. Wu Ge, Wu Sao, you’ve picked a lot of mushrooms, and even ferns!”

Qiuxuan smiled, “These mushrooms are all very delicious, and so are the ferns. We’re going to have a feast tonight.”

Shaotaotao, like her older brother, was a little worried and couldn’t help but say, “There are many poisonous mushrooms in the mountains. Can we really eat these?”

A Blessed Wife At Home

She was the daughter of the county magistrate but was forced to marry into a peasant family by her dímǔ.
She wasn’t from this world. With supernatural powers, a flip of her hand would make clouds form, and a wave of her hand would make rain fall. She was like a fish back in water at her husband’s house, fell in love, and lived a different farm life.
Dímǔ: I fully regret it now. If I had known this earlier, I wouldn’t have let her marry!
