Absolute Regression: Chapter 7 Part 1

The reason you die 7th.
After returning from hunting, I went to the training ground to polish the techniques my father taught me. Starting with practicing imbuing energy into the wind, to releasing multiple energies simultaneously. I didn’t want to waste time on meals, so I just ate beef jerky, and for sleep, I settled for a short nap during the morning exercise. The more I practiced, the more I realized how important these skills were. Finding the enemy who wants to attack you first is like having an extra life. I trained hard throughout the training. I learned firsthand that if I don’t walk today, I’ll have to run tomorrow because that’s life. After being completely absorbed in training for a few days, I came out of the training ground. I could now freely imbue energy into the wind, and I could even increase the number of energies to about seven. Ian was waiting at the entrance of the training ground. “Lord, you should rest and have a proper meal now.” “Why are you here when you have other things to do?” “It is my job to protect you.” It seemed like she had been guarding the entrance to the training ground the whole time. I thought that I needed to use shock therapy to change this stubborn guy’s mind. “Is guarding this door really something you do for me?” “What do you mean?” “What would you do if someone attacked me?” “I would throw myself in front to block.” “If you get hit by a sword instead of me, how would I feel? Would I be happy that I survived? Would I dance in the middle of the training ground?” “I don’t think it will come to that…But it would be better than dying. Plus, you’re not good at dancing.” “Your feelings are selfish sacrifices.” I didn’t want to label her noble sacrifice as selfish, but I had to use shock therapy like this. It won’t work any other way. “Yes, yes. From now on, call me a selfish woman who only cares about my own feelings.” “Ian, do you really want to protect me?” “Yes.” “Then start training in martial arts now. So that when the time comes when you really have to protect me, don’t passively defend yourself but kill the opponent!” If she becomes stronger, that strength will be a solid support for her happiness. I nodded quietly without responding as a joke. Just then, someone in the distance shouted. “Hey, you brat!” I turned around and saw three people walking towards us. They were disciples of Hyeolcheon Dojang. “Is the master not coming out today either?” It seemed like they had come here several times while I was training. Wait, what? Brat? Are those kids crazy? I couldn’t see their faces because Ian’s big body was blocking me. “How many times have you been fooled by this nonsense?” “I’m fine. It’s nothing.” “If this is nothing, then what is something? Does your family have to be killed by enemies for it to be something?” “My lord! I’m fine.” Ian was worried that I might get into an accident. I didn’t care if I got hurt, whether they got hurt, it was a problem. “Ian, you don’t have to worry too much. I’m not crazy enough to ruin my life because of you. Everyone in the world is the same. They take care of themselves.” While we were talking, the three guys stood in front of me. “Oh? The master is here too.” The one who insulted Ian earlier was Yangpo, the second disciple of Hyeolcheon Dojang. I know what kind of guy Yangpo is. He was a different kind of trash who enjoyed tormenting people psychologically, disregarding their dignity… And that kid too. I looked at the disciple who was good-looking among the group along with Yangpo. He must be the youngest. He had the most affection and a kind personality among all the disciples of Hyeolcheon Dojang. He eventually took his own life due to the torment inflicted by Yangpo. How much torment did he have to endure for an innocent to take his own life? His expression was not bright even now.
