Do rivers have waves too?
I’m not sure. Probably not, because they flow.
But the river before me now seemed as if it were cresting with waves, and it wouldn’t have been problematic to describe it as such.
It was a bright, sunny day.
Birds were chirping, and it felt as though the flowers were about to bloom—a beautiful day, indeed.
Yet this river looked incredibly cruel.
Both boats were pleasure cruisers.
They had come in search of joy, but a terrible fate awaited the guests.
[“Yes, currently there are bombs attached to those two boats. Boom! And just like that, everyone on board… will part from their loved ones without a chance to say goodbye.”]
The voice of the criminal echoed in front of the national TV audience.
It was the first of its kind—a villain’s hijacking broadcast, unprecedentedly successful.
[“Who am I to commit such an act? Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Egotistic. Feel free to simply call me Ego. Should I mention my achievements as well? S-rank villain Enzodiac. A-rank villain Rhino. Yes, I killed them. Why, you ask? Because it’s fun?”]
He winked right after he said that.
The rest of his eyes were obscured by a half mask, however.
[“Yes, but am I a murderer? No! Of course not. That couldn’t be. Naturally, there has to be a way for everyone to survive, right? The villain had given her 10 minutes.
And considering the location of the villain at present,
