And on the right was Seo Uiwoo.
While Jaejin leaned comfortably against the beige sofa watching the news, Seo Uiwoo lay on his side, using Jaejin’s knee as a pillow. As they bid farewell to autumn and prepared to welcome winter, the two settled into their own form of a solidified relationship.
‘What exactly is this relationship?’
Kwon Jaejin had not precisely defined what their relationship was. In fact, he couldn’t. ‘It’s not a typical Esper and Guide relationship, nor a typical romantic partnership, and it doesn’t seem quite like business colleagues…’
Upon closer examination, it was a vague half-relationship. The norm would be to feel insecure and precarious, yet strangely enough, Kwon Jaejin was adapting well to the current situation. He even thought that living this way wasn’t too bad.
Unlike the first encounter with Seo Uiwoo, the second-encounter Seo Uiwoo held no regrets about the past nor a past to repent for. That’s probably why he seemed so bright and dazzling. Jaejin liked the expressions that sometimes made Uiwoo seem like he was still in his twenties, and it was cute how he grew slightly impatient wondering about the future four years ahead. Guiding had become several times rougher than before, but once adapted, it was quite… frankly, not that bad.
