Chapter 9: [Talent S-018 – Omniscient Eye]

Suren made a decision and walked up to the altar with a calm expression.

Hesitation was never his style.

In fact, he had already made a plan when he intended to follow the route.

It was truly uninteresting to come to such an interesting fantasy world and be timid.

Standing on the altar, Suren carefully observed the intricate runes engraved on it.

He had seen the bald guy use this “alchemy formation” before, and he had created a suit of metal armor using a hexagram magic array. But obviously, the formation engraved on this altar was much more complex.

“Blood soaked, the formation opens,” Suren followed the instructions on the retina and removed the simple bandage from his palm. Then, he gently squeezed the wound, causing it to split and the blood to drip onto the engraved “serpent” in the magic array.

As the blood soaked the serpent, it automatically spread out with a crimson color. The stone snake body gradually became as bright as a ruby.

In an instant, the runes on the altar lit up, emitting a dazzling golden light that almost made it difficult for people to open their eyes.

“The formation is operating normally,” Suren muttered to himself, with a hint of delight. This was a good sign. If the formation could operate, it meant that the decryption method in the “Isaac Alchemical Ma**script” had a good chance of being correct. After all, no one would play such a complicated prank.

With the formation activated, the next step was the “sacrifice” stage. According to the information on the retina, all alchemy in this world adhered to the “law of equivalent exchange.” To obtain such a talent, an equivalent price had to be sacrificed. And what he had to sacrifice now was his own eyeball.

Suren let out a slow breath and slowly raised his right hand, reaching for his left eye. He self-mockingly muttered, “Indeed, my body seems to be excited about experiencing pain. Even if it means gouging out my own eye.”

Gouging an eye might be bloody for others, but it was not unfamiliar to Suren. During his first year in juvenile detention, when he had a seizure, he had done it. The target was a bully who had picked on him. After that, his cellmates called him “crazy.”

Later, studying “Anatomy” in juvenile detention, he learned how to accurately and precisely kill, injure, and fight people. Fear comes from the unknown, and Suren was well aware of what he would face when gouging his eye, so he remained calm.

He acted without hesitation, as if he was not the one enduring the pain.

The piercing pain and the fear of losing sight from one eye.

The blood dripping from the eye socket fell on the altar, causing Suren to break out in a cold sweat, his face turning pale.

After taking a few breaths, he placed the crimson object in the left side basket of the “balance” engraved on the altar.
In that moment, as if a specific condition had been activated, the central scale of the altar suddenly emitted a dazzling red light, engulfing the eyeball. At the same time, the stone figure with the “?” symbol on the side of the altar also emitted a halo of light, and a green breath quietly poured into Suren’s bleeding left eye.

This was a very complex alchemical transformation ceremony. At this moment, the sealed altar, possessing extremely high specifications, seemed to connect to an ancient and majestic atmosphere across different time and space under the urge of the medium, transmitting it to this secret chamber.

Suren was unaware, but his limited perception allowed him to touch upon some of the mysteries of this magical alchemy. It was as if he were wandering through endless starry skies and then casually plucking a bright star and integrating it into his body.
The process was even smoother than expected, with no unexpected events occurring.

Suren didn’t know what had happened; all he saw was blood. Soon, he clearly felt the pain in his eye gradually disappeared, and the light in his left eye was restored.

“It worked,” Suren guessed, and he suddenly breathed a sigh of relief. The tingling sensation was a sign of muscle tissue regeneration, which was almost unbelievable.

The whole process lasted about three minutes, during which the red light on the altar’s magic array completely dimmed.

As the red light dissipated, the statue with the “?” symbol also cracked open.
Suren’s left eye slowly focused, clear and bright, with a radiant light, like that of a newborn baby. Upon closer inspection, within the golden pupil, there was still a silver “moon.” The luster flashed, and the moon shadow disappeared into the depths of the pupil.

It was a strange experience, as everything in front of him seemed like the same old altar, but it now appeared as a strange “new world.” All objects became extremely clear, as if the filter had been removed from a high-definition photo, and every detail was visible. Even the cobweb-like cracks on the statue were clearly discernible.

“So, what extraordinary ability did I awaken? Could it be ‘enhanced vision’?”

Having completed the confirmation ceremony, Suren looked around and then lowered his head to examine his own body.
He seemed to have no changes in appearance, but his vision had improved significantly. Even in dim light, his vision was extremely clear.

If that was all there was, he thought it was much worse than the “steel bone” of the bald man.
But just as Suren was sarcastically expressing his thoughts, a strange sensation appeared.

He carefully examined his body and, after a poignant gaze, strange words appeared in his eyes.

Suren (Feek Regardi)
Dark Soul Power: 233/1130
Charm: 9
Strength: 6
Agility: 6
Constitution: 5
Perception: 4
Skill: 8
Spiritual Power: 26
Talent: [Talent s-018- Omniscient Eye]
Skills: [Hegem Breathing Technique], [Basic Firearms Mastery], [Advanced Combat Introduction]
Overall Combat Evaluation: B+ (For ordinary people who have not yet become extraordinary, you are weak in combat despite being handsome. But with the awakened S-level talent ‘Omniscient Eye,’ you have endless potential for the future.)

Upon seeing this, it was as if time had stopped for a moment.

Suren was astonished, “Data panel?”
When he saw the data appear on the retina, he felt as if he were playing a game.

But when he saw the talent “Omniscient Eye” on the panel, he suddenly realized, “So, this is the ability awakened by the sacrifice ritual? It doesn’t seem that powerful.”

Suren muttered to himself, understanding why the sacrifice had to be his own eyeball. So this “targeted awakening” was the idea, to exchange one eye for another.

Suren’s thinking was quite erratic. He wouldn’t dwell on things that couldn’t be changed, and instead he would mock the evaluations on the panel.

Even though he had the ability to fight ten men on Earth, his combat skill was only at “advanced entry level”? And the marksmanship that he had spent most of his savings practicing at the shooting range was only “basic mastery”?

What kind of skill was “advanced mastery” in marksmanship? Could bullets even turn corners?

The overall evaluation was weak?

It was not very damaging, but extremely insulting.

“Hehe, compared to that bald man, it’s true that I can only be considered as ‘weak,’” Suren chuckled, gaining a rough understanding of the combat system in this world.

As for the inexplicable “Hegem Breathing Technique,” it should be a “passive skill” mastered by the original owner.
Suren had felt a strange energy flowing in his body, and his breathing followed a specific rhythm as if it were a near-instinctual “muscle memory.”

As for the Dark Soul Power value, it was probably similar to the “internal energy technique” in his previous life.
However, as he looked at his attribute panel, a look of confusion appeared on his face. Everything else was fine, but the value of “26” for spiritual power was too eye-catching.

“Is it because of the multiple personalities?” Suren pondered, but before he could delve deeper into the thought, a sudden anomaly occurred!
At that moment, the previously dimmed altar suddenly lit up again. This time, it was not with a golden light, but with a cold light shrouded in a gray mist. It seemed to open a passage to hell, and he felt a tremor from his soul.

“What’s going on? The alchemy array has activated again?!” Suren was greatly puzzled, as the information on the retina did not mention such a mysterious occurrence during the ritual process.

But he remained unreactive, as this scene was very similar to when he awakened before.

After the magical array’s light flashed, the last statue with the “?” symbol on the side of the altar emitted a fluorescent glow, and a faint black aura overflowed from the statue.

This time, the transformation process was much quicker than before.

“If my talent has already awakened, why is it happening again? I didn’t offer a sacrifice,” Suren observed in bewilderment.
At the same time, he felt as if something invisible in his body had been drawn out, and he inexplicably felt much lighter.

Not long after, the eight-pointed starlight dissipated, and the statue cracked open again.

This time, none of the five statues were intact.
Suren also clearly felt that the previous mysterious and awe-inspiring feeling given by these statues suddenly disappeared, turning into five ordinary stone carvings.

Suren looked at the panel again, trying to understand what had happened to his body.

Then, he directly looked at the talent section, where an additional entry had appeared – [Talent s-004- Reaper of Death].
