I’m trapped in a cube :- Chapter 16 The Vibrating Reincarnation

Chapter 16 The Shocking Reincarnation

After explaining his actions to the girl again, Mo Ling approached the cage.

He didn’t know if his method would be successful, but he had to give it a try.

Enclosing the cage, Mo Ling activated the transmission, and the Dream Kirin disappeared in front of him.

Quickly entering the pickled space, Mo Ling saw that the Dream Kirin was motionless.

Its colorful body had dimmed, the light had vanished, and the color was fading from the outer edges.

The bright panel slowly faded to black, disappearing rapidly.

The Dream Kirin became darker and darker until it turned into absolute blackness.

In the blink of an eye, the cage was empty.

Mo Ling hurried back outside and informed Li Luo of the situation.

“We can wake up now,” he said. Li Luo nodded.

Mo Ling opened his eyes to see the familiar metal walls.

He stood up, stopping himself just before hitting his head.

His legs were sore, so he quickly stretched his body.

How long had passed?

Looking outside, Li Luo was also checking the time.

Ten minutes.

In the time they had spent in the dream, only ten minutes had passed outside.

Although he knew time passed quickly in the dream, the feeling of a day in heaven and a year on earth still left Mo Ling feeling dazed.

Li Luo turned to say something, but seeing a lifeless metal block instead of a person, she froze in place.

Mo Ling tossed a canned box outside, the sound of metal colliding bringing the girl back to reality.

There were more important things to do.

Listening carefully, the muffled vibrations returned.

Mo Ling looked at the dark horns inside the block.

The fact that the dark horns were still there meant that something else had caught the attention of the Vibrational Beasts.

He transferred the dark horns to the ground in front of Li Luo.

This time, the flood of Vibrational Beasts did not surge towards them again; it seemed to be moving to the other side of the valley.

Li Luo picked up the dark horn, listening attentively to the movements in the valley.

After confirming, she placed the dark horn back on top of the block, and Mo Ling retrieved it.

At this moment, there was no need for words; both of them had thoughts in their hearts.

Li Luo got into the car and headed towards where the Vibrational Beasts were gathering.

From the direction, the Dream Kirin that had entered reality was not in the same location as the previously discovered dark horns.

Mo Ling was worried.

If his guess was correct, where would it land?

Fortunately, they had not driven for long before Li Luo spotted where the Vibrational Beasts were congregating.

She took out recording equipment to document the scene.

In the distance, the Vibrational Beasts were attacking each other like madmen.

The sea of red fleshy slime surged, engulfing all the isolated Vibrational Beasts along the way.

The events from the showdown in the abyss where the dark horns were fought over were replayed.

Whether it was due to the disappearance of the dark horns or the appearance of the original Dream Kirin this time, the Vibrational Beasts’ reaction was more intense than before.

The tide of fleshy slime grew larger and larger, leading to even stranger changes.

The Vibrational Beasts caught in the tidal wave abandoned their bodies, escaping from the metal mesh and joining the wave.

To avoid being submerged, they all chose to transform into fleshy slimes.

Soon, the Vibrational Beasts in the tidal wave were reduced to empty shells, no longer struggling.

Insects sank, leaving only the more terrifying slime ocean.

Furthermore, changes were happening at the forefront of the slime wave.

Initially, individual slimes’ outlines were still visible among the surging tide.

However, these gaps between them were gradually filled in, and their original clear outlines became blurred.

The slimes stuck together.

Due to continuous compression, they eventually lost the space to move freely.

Countless slimes were compressed to their smallest forms.

When going up an incline, the tide unexpectedly stopped.

The slimes at the forefront were squeezed together by the incoming ones behind, unable to move forward anymore.

The flesh that kept pulsing was forcibly suppressed, unable to move.

Mo Ling stared at the recording equipment in disbelief.

This was too crazy!

They had been repressed for too long.

The red thread worms were still driving them forward.

Finally, evolution began.

The forcibly pressed fleshy slimes merged with each other.

It started from the front and slowly spread backward.

Soon, the edges between the slimes disappeared, and a huge creature slowly emerged from the wriggling slimes.

The vibratory movements of all the slimes merged into one, instantly producing a unified, rhythmic, and heavy vibration echoing in the valley.

It no longer stagnated but moved forward slowly.

Thinking it was too slow, its round edges began to grow a tail that wagged to propel itself forward.

Then, like a tadpole, it grew four limbs and started crawling on the ground.

However, the involuntary vibration made its movements unsteady.

So, it changed its way of moving.

Jumping.

With each jump, its front limbs would degrade a bit, transferring power to the hind limbs.

Soon, it was left with only two hind limbs.

But each time it landed from a jump, the immense gravity would cause it to fall and be injured.

So, with stronger hind limbs, it was no longer satisfied with just jumping. It stood up, gradually lengthening and curving its two hind limbs to absorb shocks.

One step, two steps, three steps…

By the ninth step, the fleshy beast had transformed back into its original form.

A huge Vibrational Beast was born.

Two heavily unbalanced limbs alternated in walking.

The limbs deeply embedded in the ground caused vibrations to be drawn underground by the jumping flesh, creating a loop.

Its head was a bright red sphere, with blood continuously flowing up to darken its color.

And the legs below, after the blood flowed out, grew harder, transitioning to a metallic color.

It continuously searched for a way to release its vibrations, ultimately evolving into this form.

Seeing this Vibrational Beast appear, Mo Ling was filled with shock.

“So this is how Vibrational Beasts evolve,” he muttered.

He originally thought their strange appearance was randomly generated.

He didn’t expect that from the beginning, they suffered from uncontrollable vibrations.

No wonder they were so sensitive to vibrations, so averse to them, even to the point of attacking their companions.

Because these creatures had been fighting against their innate abilities since birth.

While they gained the power of vibration, they also suffered the pain it brought.

This was the price!
