I’m trapped in a cube :- Chapter 17: Born to Die

Chapter 17 Born to Death

Mo Ling looked at Li Luo.

She was also looking at the reappearing Shock Beast in shock.

The metallic limbs of the Shock Beast became harder and harder, and a spherical metal net was generated on its head to reduce the fleshly vibrations.

The reappearing Shock Beast was exactly the same as the one they saw when they first entered the valley, just a different size.

The Shock Beast towering into the sky slowly moved towards its target.

Every step on the ground would cause a seismic-like rumble.

Li Luo continued to follow in the car and soon arrived at a place.

This was an open space with a clear lake in the center.

A pure black horse-like creature was nibbling on grass by the lake.

It was the Dream Kirin that had entered reality.

After Mo Ling sent the Dream Kirin to kill, it turned completely black and arrived here.

But under the healing effect of the red rope worm, it came back to life.

Now living in reality in this form.

Success!

Mo Ling breathed a sigh of relief when he saw the completely black Dream Kirin.

“So the red rope worm should be able to complete its mission.”

Although seeing such a huge Shock Beast, the Dream Kirin, who should have fled, did not run away. Instead, it stood in place and looked up.

Although Mo Ling couldn’t see the Dream Kirin’s eyes clearly, he knew that it must be looking at the approaching Shock Beast.

The massive Shock Beast’s movements were particularly large and frantic as it approached the Dream Kirin. However, in front of the Dream Kirin, it seemed a bit more cautious.

But even so, the huge body’s vibrations still made the Dream Kirin sway.

The Shock Beast arrived in front of the Dream Kirin, and the massive body collapsed, the flesh and blood leaving the metal net and coming beside the Dream Kirin.

The surging red wave now left just that bit remaining.

Mo Ling couldn’t help but sigh.

The flesh and blood slime came to the side of the black Dream Kirin and slowly covered it.

The Dream Kirin did not resist but let the flesh and blood engulf it.

Li Luo drove closer, allowing Mo Ling to see the scene inside the flesh and blood.

He saw the pulsating flesh and blood enveloping the pure black panel, causing the Dream Kirin to shiver.

At that moment, Mo Ling saw the black hole on the black panel constantly falling.

The black hole absorbed the shock, and the pulsation of the flesh and blood gradually slowed down, eventually stopping.

As the flesh and blood slime melted, the silhouette of the Dream Kirin reappeared.

It was curled up on the ground, looking very tired.

“It should be over now.”

Mo Ling stared in a daze.

Finally, everything could come to a close, the red rope worm’s mission was completed, and both sides should dissipate.

And the commotion of the Shock Beast should come to an end as well.

Mo Ling’s gaze narrowed in on the Dream Kirin curled up on the ground, with the original red rope worm nowhere to be seen.

But why hadn’t the Dream Kirin died yet?

Amidst the endless black, there seemed to be a flicker of color.

What was that?

Mo Ling quickly looked over.

A small dot slowly lit up, originally white, but it gradually spread and turned into color.

As it spread, the surrounding black was illuminated.

The faint colors gradually became richer, expanding, drawing a band of light within the Dream Kirin’s body.

Like a shooting star crossing through the black night.

The black night was illuminated.

The rich colors burst out of the Dream Kirin’s panel, once again turning its appearance into that pixellated error look.

The Dream Kirin slowly stood up, shook its head, the light even more dazzling.

Its movements became more agile, starting to walk along the lake shore.

In no time, its pace gradually accelerated, and it even started to run.

Arriving at the lake, the Dream Kirin leaped into the air and created an incomparably beautiful rainbow in the middle of the lake before disappearing.

The liquid formed by the slime floated down from the sky, dotting the sky like stars.

Mo Ling watched this scene, unable to forget it for a long time.

Only when the rainbow disappeared did he come to his senses.

Alive?

That Dream Kirin had actually not died, turning back into color and returning to the dream realm?

The Dream Kirin turned out to be such a creature.

Perhaps, its previous resurrection was not due to the red rope worm.

After dying in the dream realm, the Dream Kirin would turn black and come back to life in reality.

And after dying in reality, it would transform into color and return to the dream realm.

Too strange.

Furthermore, in that belly of the Dream Kirin that had just been resurrected, Mo Ling saw a piece of constantly pulsating black flesh.

He was able to see it clearly because of the Dream Kirin’s color change.

What was that thing?

Mo Ling pondered over it.

Regardless, it was finally over now.

Li Luo collected the recording instruments and rested on the seat.

It must have been quite shocking for her to experience this.

Suddenly, Li Luo turned asked Block, “Are all the Shock Beasts dead?”

Mo Ling subconsciously wanted to answer, then realized he wasn’t in a dream.

He just randomly transmitted a can and made a sound in response to the girl.

And just like she understood Mo Ling’s words, Li Luo replied soliloquizing, “I don’t know.”

The valley was now silent. Mo Ling speculated that the Shock Beasts may have really all died.

But there was always uncertainty. After this event, Mo Ling still admired this unique creature.

He didn’t want the Shock Beasts to be extinct.

Li Luo opened the storage box behind and took out a lot of food, placing it on the metal block.

“Thank you.”

Li Luo looked at Block and said seriously, “Thank you for saving me in my dream. You should be able to understand me, right?”

Mo Ling made a sound with a can.

Getting a response, Li Luo nodded happily, picked up the food and started eating.

Mo Ling knew that after going through the dream realm, Li Luo must have realized that the Block had an independent consciousness.

But it was a good thing, now that he was trapped, it was difficult to find food, at least now there was food and drink.

There was even a car to sit in, allowing him to slowly understand this world.

Mo Ling wondered why he was trapped in this block.

But for now, he had to solve the problem of hunger first.

The food on the block disappeared one by one.

However, as the two were resting, a black hole appeared out of thin air next to the car.

Li Luo immediately picked up her weapon and chopped at the black hole.

A black limb extended from the black hole, deflecting the weapon.

Then the limb suddenly softened, turning into a black tentacle and reaching into the storage box in the car.

When the tentacle retracted, it was holding two cans of food.

Li Luo prepared to attack again, but the tentacle quickly retracted into the black hole and disappeared.

Li Luo remained vigilant, but the black hole did not appear again.

She quickly checked the storage box, her expression becoming more solemn, then turned to Mo Ling and said, “Two cans of 500g glass jar Korean kimchi are missing, the kimchi is gone, but the jars are still there.”
