“Delicious…”
As expected, Kan was still asleep.
I thought about waking him up, but I decided to let him sleep a little more since he helped me with my work all night.
“Shall I make dinner?”
I used up most of the ingredients making chicken stew.
But a promise is a promise.
I set the coordinates of the sub-space near the mart that Woojin often visits and opened it.
Let’s make omurice for dinner tonight.
I’m sure Kan will like it.
* * *
I unfolded the table and set up the burner.
“What are you doing?”
When I finished washing up and came back, Kan was awake and rolling around in the field.
“Omurice.”
“Omurice?”
“You don’t know? Just wait.”
I poured the rice I had prepared in advance into a large soup bowl.
Next, I finely chopped the onions, carrots, green beans, and peeled garlic that I had purchased from the mart.
I coated a large frying pan with cooking oil and sautéed the minced garlic.
Once the garlic was roughly cooked, I added the minced beef, butter, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce and continued to sauté.
Now, I added the vegetables and rice to the pan and continued to sauté over high heat.
It was a slightly different recipe, but it was the way Woojin used to eat it when he was a student.
I mixed the sauce with the rice and vegetables, making sure it blended well, and adjusted the seasoning by adding soy sauce little by little.
Once everything was done, I used a large soup bowl to shape the fried rice and put it on a plate.
“Oh!”
Kan lifted his spoon at the delicious smell of the fried rice.
“Not yet.”
I put the fried rice on a plate next to him.
I cleaned the frying pan, coated it with cooking oil again, and this time set it on low heat.
In the meantime, I cracked 3 eggs on top of the pan.
I had to spread them thinly using the entire pan.
The eggs quickly cooked in the remaining heat of the frying pan.
Now, I poured the fried rice that I had put on the plate into the frying pan to shape it.
I wrapped the thinly spread egg around the fried rice, forming a half-moon shape, and sprinkled ketchup on top to complete it.
“Oh, is it really done now?”
“Yes. Try it once.”
Kan took a spoonful of the omurice.
“How is it?”
“It’s delicious!”
Fortunately, it seems to suit Kan’s taste.
Kan ate the omurice very deliciously, probably because he was hungry from sleeping all day.
“Eat a lot.”
“Aren’t you eating, Hyung?”
“No.”
“Why? Are you going to eat Magic Sam?”
“Yeah. Why? Do you want to eat it too?”
It wasn’t just a matter of chewing and eating.
You had to maintain an empty stomach for at least two days and drink at least 2 liters of water a day.
They said that it would help eliminate waste from the body and absorb the nutrients better.
So, starting today, I will only drink water.
If Kan also wants to eat, I’m planning to only give him water after dinner.
We have to maintain an empty stomach at the same time to synchronize the eating schedule.
“No, I don’t want to eat. This is much tastier than that!”
“Then am I eating alone?”
“Yeah! Yum yum.”
