Meldenique said so and left.
Lennox looked at Meldenique leaving and frowned.
It was strange. To his eyes, Meldenique Vaveloa looked like a completely different person.
He thought of Sheria, Meldenique’s younger sister who became a business contract partner and someone who constantly stole his gaze.
A while ago, Sheria sent a lovely letter from the resort.
At the end of the letter filled with affection, she wrote about Meldenique leaving the family and suggested they settle their engagement relationship.
‘Sheria is a beautiful woman. But…’
He bit his inner cheek to regain his composure.
‘I cannot give up on Meldenique Vaveloa.’
His eyes blinked with an intense gleam.
He remembered his father’s last will that said, ‘You must marry Meldenique Vaveloa.’
He even remembered the description that accompanied the will, which seemed to contain a suspicious explanation that would make his eyes squint.

He chuckled, thinking about his perfect future.

He didn’t realize that Meldenique, who sensed his feelings towards Sheria, would act so unexpectedly.

But Sheria’s relationship and Meldenique’s marriage were separate matters.
He planned to continue pursuing marriage with Meldenique.

But if he thought so, Meldenique must have been foolish. He was never an easy opponent.
The Duke’s eyes narrowed as he watched Meldenique leaving with an ironic smile.
‘This time, I’m using a peculiar jealousy tactic, but I won’t try to intervene.’
Lennox tried to divert his gaze from her.
But he couldn’t. Meldenique turned around and looked at him again.
He inwardly smirked.
He expected this.
Meldenique Vaveloa could never abandon him.
In a cruel courtship, committed for flowers and him, she had gone on various adventures. How could such a woman suddenly change?
‘She was perfectly tamed to only listen to me. She can’t betray me.’
Lennox cynically stared at Meldenique walking towards him.
If Meldenique hadn’t mentioned it, Lennox’s unchanged engagement fiancee, he would have forgiven her. Of course, forgiveness was only once.
Meldenique approached him and said, “By the way, there’s something I forgot to mention.”
Lennox coldly opened his mouth, “You don’t need to apologize.”
As Lennox heard her words, Meldenique smiled widely and asked, “Apology?”
The Duke momentarily stopped as he looked at her smile.
Had that woman ever made such a face while apologizing?
He had only seen her face expressing sadness, disappointment, or screaming in anger.
But in the end, she would act within his expectations.
Lennox stared intently at her, waiting calmly for the words to come out of her mouth.
Apology is nonsense!
Looking at the man who will become my ex-fiancé, the male lead, with an arrogant attitude, I frowned.

I took one step closer to him.

I looked up at him.

Seeing him, who seemed surprised as if his mind had been read, I bit my tongue inwardly.
The male protagonist doesn’t know the reader’s mind, but the reader knows his mind very well.
In romance novels, there were not just one or two protagonists or family members who cried and apologized frantically when the woman they ignored suddenly pulled out the breakup card.
Or there were crazy guys who suddenly turned their eyes and shouted, ‘I can never give up!’ without even liking them.
So, the situation where he would catch me would be prevented in advance.
Of course, I’m not the heroine, so that won’t happen.
‘But there’s always a chance.’
Lennox taking an interest in me is utterly absurd.
Whether it’s his belated regret or unnecessary obsession, I had no intention of accepting it!
