Shut-in home hero: Chapter 4

The slightly peeling door disappeared without a sound as I walked through it.
Even when I looked back, there was nothing there.
I see, so this is what happens when I leave home…
By the way, when I tried to summon it again, I was able to bring my home out without any problems.
The sight of my home appearing in the middle of a grassy field was extremely surreal.
Upon checking my status, I found that it required 20 MP to summon my home.
Especially since there is no limit on the number of times, I think I’ll just retreat to my home immediately if things get tough or if I’m on the verge of dying.
If anything, it might be a good idea to take a break at home whenever something unpleasant happens.
Since a shut-in suddenly gets transported to another world, it’s probably just right to be overly cautious.
In fact, my current outfit is probably quite different from the standard in this world.
I consciously chose plain white shirt on top and faded damaged jeans on bottom.
I thought it might be cold, so I borrowed my dad’s Inverness, but it’s actually quite hot because it’s spring.
But it would be silly to use 20 MP just to leave a coat here, so I guess I’ll have to endure it.
By the way, I’m wearing sneakers that I used to wear when commuting.
They are well-ventilated and thin, so I don’t feel any weight when walking.
I regularly spray them with waterproof spray, so they are hardly dirty.

“That’s… incredibly green…”
Such a dumb impression is all that came to mind, as I was swallowed up by the scene before me.
The solid feeling of the ground under my feet.
The sound of grass rustling as it blows in the wind, and the distant sound of birds chirping.
A strangely fresh, green scent wafting through the air.
Mixed in with the smell of rain, like the scent of soil.
This is a vast natural environment that you can’t see in Japan.
Being surrounded by nature like this makes me realize just how small I am.
Focusing on the small things and staying home all the time made me look like an idiot… but it’s not as simple as that.
I felt my heart lighten just a little bit.

“But it’s so vast… Green all the way to the horizon… Truly a different world…”
While muttering to myself about how I had been shut in at home even in this different world, I observed my surroundings.
The grassland I had arrived at seemed quite vast, with no end in sight even when I looked left and right.
Or… Huh?
Do my eyesight improve for some reason?
I can easily focus on distant objects.
When I strain my eyes, I can see the veins of leaves far away.
My eyesight, which was good enough that I barely needed glasses, seems to have become surprisingly sharp.
It’s probably about 2 or 3 at least.
In addition, there have been some changes in my body.
When I move my body lightly, I feel like I move much more smoothly than I expected.
“Taking a month off from jumping, my agility doesn’t seem like it’s lowered by 2 at all, my body moves well.”
It seems that my body has become special because I came to a different world.
I may not be able to quit being human or crush rocks with my fist, but at least my specs seem to have improved enough that I could run fifty meters in the low six-second range.
Or maybe it’s thanks to God reconstructing my body.
Thank you very much for everything, God.
As I offer a light prayer to the sky, I felt like I saw the illusion of God giving me a thumbs up.
“Ooinkk!”
“W-what!?”
As I finished my prayer and was about to eat a pastry I brought, a loud noise suddenly rang out.
I unconsciously crouched down and tried to locate the source of the sound.
…I was completely caught up in the excitement of landing in a different world, but this is a world of swords and magic where monsters live.
The level of danger is completely different from modern-day Japan.
I am currently at level 1.
If the worldview was something like “Being level 1 is only forgiven for elementary school students, it’s okay to be level 100 to be a full-fledged adult!” then I would be in big trouble.
I raised my face slightly as if to see through the gaze and involuntarily swallowed my saliva.
“Buhh… ”
In the distance, I saw a monstrous figure resembling a human body with an incredibly muscular physique attached to a large pig’s head, like a giant costume.
That is… a monster.
Perhaps due to my heightened hearing, I could even hear its breathing clearly.
Its appearance was eerily similar to an orc in fantasy novels.
But the first encounter is with a monster, not a person…
Although I know I can return home if necessary, my body tensed up with nervousness.
Before I knew it, my palms were sweating profusely.
Should I retreat or should I fight?
I have to choose carefully…
