Taming the Obsessive Attachment: Chapter 37 Part 1

After several hectic days had passed, I decided to start with preparing for the move.
Since we couldn’t live in a house with a broken living room forever, we planned to urgently pack only the necessary belongings and move them to a temporary residence.
Since the newly built house would take some time to complete, we decided to stay in a suitable house in the meantime. Of course, by Seo Ui-Woo’s standards, a suitable house would likely mean a luxury mansion.
Kwon Jae-Jin said that mountains were nice, and perhaps because of that, Seo Ui-Woo quickly bought a private villa on a secluded mountaintop, paying the balance in full at the time of contract.
Seeing him shopping for houses like buying snacks at a supermarket, Kwon Jae-Jin blinked silently.
Anyway, the move was decided, and now that we had a new house to live in, we only had to pack up to finish the job.
Jae-Jin was organizing items in his second-floor room, which he had bought on impulse. He planned to take all exercise equipment, including the treadmill, and donate the unnecessarily expensive 2.7 million won red dog leash and the 1.6 million won dog bowl to a good organization.
While Jae-Jin was sorting things out, Seo Ui-Woo clung firmly next to him. Ui-Woo teasingly held the dog leash to Jae-Jin’s neck, which earned him a fierce reprimand, and they spent peaceful moments together.
“I want to try more challenging cooking. What is your favorite food, Jae-Jin?”
“I’m not particularly picky. Anything tends to taste good if it’s made with expensive ingredients. Ah… but I can’t handle spicy food well.”
“Spicy food, got it. But still, you should have a preference between Korean and Western food, shouldn’t you?”
“If I had to choose, I’d say Korean… I do get cravings for pancakes on a rainy day.”
“Pancakes, huh. I’ll try making them.”
Kwon Jae-Jin sprayed perfume he never used. Since the fragrance wasn’t really to his taste, he set it aside.
Seeing this, Seo Ui-Woo slyly asked.
“I get your taste in food, how about other preferences?”
“Other preferences?”
“Like… a preferred scent, or a color you dislike.”
“Ah.”
Kwon Jae-Jin looked down, trying not to show his eyes. For a moment, he thought Seo Ui-Woo was asking about something strange. It would be just like Ui-Woo to do so.
“When I was in Residential District 6, I used to wear a men’s woody fragrance. As for colors, well, I think neutral colors are safe.”
“What kind of weather do you like? Clear, cloudy, rainy, snowy?”
“Obviously clear or cloudy. Travelling is difficult when something is falling from the sky. Traffic gets bad.”
“But you don’t even have to commute anymore.”
“…Then any weather is fine.”
“What about seasons? Which season do you prefer?”
“…Spring. Or fall.”
“Why?”
“You don’t need to spend on heating or cooling.”
Seo Ui-Woo burst into laughter at the side profile of Jae-Jin, who responded monotonously. He giggled, leaning against the wall with his elbow propped up and his chin in his hand.
“Ah, I wasn’t expecting that answer. Kwon Jae-Jin, you’re a practical person. Now that I think about it, you were the one who first asked for a fee for guiding.”
The Seo Ui-Woo, who was having such a frivolous conversation and wearing a joyful expression, truly looked like a normal twenty-year-old. A normal twenty-year-old who had lived an ordinary life.
“I asked for a fair compensation, that’s all.”
Kwon Jae-Jin realized he was humorously syncing up with Seo Ui-Woo and shook his head inwardly.
Just a few days ago, everything was chaotic and the future seemed completely blocked, yet here he was, relaxed and casually playing Q&A with Seo Ui-Woo, which felt oddly strange.
“I know. You can use the card I gave you without a limit, so feel free to use it.”
“Yes, yes. I’m already using it quite freely.”
“Right now? The statement didn’t show much use. Just a little?”
“I don’t have sophisticated and fancy tastes like Seo Ui-Woo. I don’t really know about art and wine. Nor am I interested in things like jewels. I’ve tried it.”
“Oh, so you know my taste as well?”
“….”
“How well do you know it?”

He regressed to the first day of confinement. 4 years ago, Kwon Jae-jin, an ordinary person, appeared as the only guide for the S-class esper Seo Eui-woo. Seo Eui-woo kidnapped him and demanded that he be guided without consent. “Shall we check now? I wonder if you are a guide that matches me or not.” “Hurts, it hurts, ah, ngh! Ugh…… Stop……!” “See, you can do guiding on me…….” Seo Eui-woo’s crazy behavior, which seemed ruthless at first glance, had a good reason, and after 4 years that felt like war, Jae-jin eventually understood and accepted Seo Eui-woo. Not only that, he was taken in by Seo Eui-woo’s persistent love offensive and their relationship developed romantically! They lived happily ever after……! ……It would’ve been great if it had ended with such a happy ending. One sunny day, a gate in the yard burst, and Kwon Jae-jin got caught in it. He died with his limbs torn to pieces. BAD ENDING. That was the story of Kwon Jae-jin’s first life before returning to this point.
