Taming the Obsessive Attachment: Chapter 43 Part 1

Tearing a hole is something that happens often during guiding, but no matter how often it occurs, splitting someone’s bone is a bit… Even though they’ll recover with the use of a healing factor, I feel sorry for them.
It’s better to knock them out than to break their bones.
Seo Ui-woo wanted to cherish Kwon Jae-jin. It was only natural to value him highly as he was the guide Seo Ui-woo had finally found. If Kwon Jae-jin had heard this, he might have thought it was crazy talk, but Seo Ui-woo was sincere.
Thus, Seo Ui-woo ensured Kwon Jae-jin lost consciousness safely, and after he drove him into the hole continuously, when Jae-jin regained consciousness, Seo Ui-woo strangled him to faintness again and drove him into the hole once more.
It wasn’t until after an emergency call was made, following relentless days and nights of arousal, that Seo Ui-woo finally recovered his sanity and stopped the guiding.

A century ago, the first Gate Impact occurred, and from within the Gate, creatures that looked like various monsters poured out.
Subsequently, Gates began appearing all over the world simultaneously, and people were helplessly massacred by the creatures.
It was an end of a horrifying era that seemed to herald the end of humanity.
With 42.1% of the world’s population dead and more than half of the Earth’s surface overrun by creatures’ habitats, it was a bitter history of defeat.
Thereafter, like a miracle, the existence of Espers and Guides capable of opposing the creatures appeared, and humanity, on the brink of destruction, was barely able to recover. Human society, which had been descending into barbarism in the chaos, gradually regained stability.
The surviving nations had just managed to assemble some form of government and hurriedly relocated their citizens to regions with less creature damage. They gathered the reduced population in the reduced territories and created new residential districts to protect their citizens.
Awakened individuals generated protective barriers around the residential districts to safeguard the non-awakened ones, continuing patrols and battles for their safety. As living standards eventually began to recover and resources stabilized, the leaders of various countries desired not only for the Awakened to protect the residential districts but also to reclaim the lands taken by the creatures.
If the priority until that point had been to preserve the old civilization within the residential districts and continue human society’s existence, now the next goal was to expand the pioneer districts, eradicate the creatures, and achieve a prosperity like the old days before the apocalypse.
In these times of turmoil, breeding stronger Awakened and dispatching them to secure territories rich in resources was considered to be the fastest path to a wealthy and powerful nation.
Therefore, the nations organized armies of Awakened, controlled and managed them strictly, and dispatched them further and into the harsh lands, offering wealth and honor as a reward.
In reality, humanity needed to actively wage territorial wars to survive. Even now, Gates would be forming somewhere on Earth, and creatures would be pouring out of them.
If the Awakened only protected the narrow residential districts, then the rest of the land would be completely overtaken by the creatures. In a few centuries, this would lead to the worst scenario where the multiplied creatures could no longer be controlled.
Before that happened, the Awakened had to fight as much as possible, kill the creatures, and destroy the cores of the Gates.
All this was to extend the life of humanity even a little longer.
It was a continuous cycle of killing and seizing.
And of course, Seo Ui-woo was at the forefront of this battle.
Kieeeek!
While impaling a bullet into the eye of a giant bat βcreature rushing towards him with a high-pitched squeal, Seo Ui-woo inwardly admired his body movements, which were much faster than usual.
The effect of proper guiding was truly felt since going into the battle.
The psychic abilities that he couldn’t fully suppress and were leaking out had settled down as if they were never uncontrollable, and the dark monster he held in the abyss was also quietly coiled and sank down without showing.
How can this be possible?
Seo Ui-woo couldn’t hide the smile that was leaking out and used psychokinesis to consecutively crush the skulls of bats swooping in from all sides. Brain matter exploded like fireworks, and flesh scattered in every direction, causing other Awakened who were fighting below to turn away in disgust and get covered in filth.
Seo Ui-woo fought comfortably flying in the air, but other Awakened had a lot of trouble fighting on the ground.
-Captain Seo.

He regressed to the first day of confinement. 4 years ago, Kwon Jae-jin, an ordinary person, appeared as the only guide for the S-class esper Seo Eui-woo. Seo Eui-woo kidnapped him and demanded that he be guided without consent. “Shall we check now? I wonder if you are a guide that matches me or not.” “Hurts, it hurts, ah, ngh! Ugh…… Stop……!” “See, you can do guiding on me…….” Seo Eui-woo’s crazy behavior, which seemed ruthless at first glance, had a good reason, and after 4 years that felt like war, Jae-jin eventually understood and accepted Seo Eui-woo. Not only that, he was taken in by Seo Eui-woo’s persistent love offensive and their relationship developed romantically! They lived happily ever after……! ……It would’ve been great if it had ended with such a happy ending. One sunny day, a gate in the yard burst, and Kwon Jae-jin got caught in it. He died with his limbs torn to pieces. BAD ENDING. That was the story of Kwon Jae-jin’s first life before returning to this point.
