Don’t overuse your abilities.
The instructions came from the lieutenant colonel through a hologram projector inside the goggles. This is Lieutenant Colonel Jang Tae-san, the commander of the Special Task Force Unit 1.
He was a veteran A-grade Esper who survived beyond the age of forty without dying in battle.
“I will make corrections, Lieutenant Colonel Jang.”
Seo Ui-woo suppressed a smile and replied.
Overuse, what nonsense.
He had not even begun to harness his inherent power in earnest; it was just a small portion of what leaked out that he had used, and yet he was immediately criticized. Lieutenant Colonel Jang Tae-san had keen senses, making him an adversary to be cautious of.
– What’s the risk of going berserk?
“Less than 20%.”
– That’s a rather low figure.
“The newly distributed medication this quarter is highly effective. It seems to suit me well.”
– Is that so? That’s good news. But don’t rely too much on guiding substitute drugs. Always be prepared for a situation where supplies run low.
“I will follow your orders, Lieutenant Colonel Jang.”
Of course, even Lieutenant Colonel Jang himself had not seen through Seo Ui-woo’s blatant lies.
Not the trivial lie that the new drug, which wasn’t even effective, worked wonders, but rather the deep-seated lies Seo Ui-woo had been committing since his training days. Pretending to eat, sleep, and act normal, and hiding even more dangerous secrets.
If it were discovered that Seo Ui-woo, in fact, had been classified as an S-grade Esper just on his overflowing abilities alone, and had a massive power sunk in dark abysses that he never brought up during classification tests, one must wonder how the Center would react.
Seo Ui-woo had survived for twenty years without going berserk not because of proper guiding, but because he had never once brought forth his inherent power to use.
To handle that ominous and peculiar power, akin to a monstrous perpetuity, would inevitably require S-grade guiding. Without proper guiding, it could not be used.
Thus, Seo Ui-woo had only used the small amount of power that he could not suppress and leaked out, and thanks to his right choice, he had managed to cope by somehow handling it with mismatched guiding or alternative medicine.
But all that would soon become a thing of the past.
‘…Kwon Jae-jin.’
Even in the dark caverns, accurately hitting bats with bullets, Seo Ui-woo thought of Kwon Jae-jin.
He wanted to destroy the Gate Core as quickly as possible and return home.
To his house, where his guide, Kwon Jae-jin, would be waiting.
Once he started thinking of Kwon Jae-jin, he became unbearably anxious. He had received an emergency call and left in a hurry, not taking care of Jae-jin properly. He left without even washing the body or taking care of the unconscious person in bed.
He wondered if Jae-jin had woken up by now and how he was getting by in his absence.
‘It seems he doesn’t understand the situation at all.’
Seo Ui-woo, who had wiped off his smile, silently looked down. His dry grey eyes were so still that they seemed desolate.
His senses became hypersensitive; he could distinctly feel his heartbeat, pulse, breathing, and even the sound of blinking. He had felt fine just moments before, but now, not at all.
It’s not enough. Far from enough.
Seo Ui-woo remembered Kwon Jae-jin’s face, eyes, and voice, and naturally thought of his body. The reddened tongue and mouth, the soft and well-shaped muscles that were good to hold, the pressed-up buttocks, and the tight insides… It was horribly delightful when the flesh crumpled and clung with each thrust.
With Kwon Jae-jin, and his guidance, there was something absolute, more than just feeling good.
Even at this moment, Seo Ui-woo wanted to abandon his mission, leave the Gate behind, and return to Kwon Jae-jin. To teleport there, to press into any hole he could find on Kwon Jae-jin, whether mouth or buttocks. Even though he had been guiding until the emergency call came, the thought of guiding again made his lower belly heavy and his legs uncomfortable.
‘Ha. Why am I like this…’
Seo Ui-woo gnashed his teeth, trying to shake off his thoughts. Fortunately, he was floating alone in the air while the other awakened ones were below him. He wouldn’t be caught with an erection during combat.
