“This way.”
As he spoke, Kim Sang-jae swung his hand a few more times.
But soon, whether he ran out of breath or not, Kim Sang-jae lowered his hand and shouted towards someone who was talking on the side.
“Kang Seo-bang.”
A man with round glasses turned his head at Kim Sang-jae’s call.
He was Kang Myung-woo, the husband of Kim Mi-kyung, the youngest daughter of Chairman Kim Dae-hwan.
“Is he okay?”
Kang Myung-woo, the head of the Neurosurgery Department at Taeyang Hospital, briefly lifted his glasses with his hand and answered Kim Sang-jae’s question.
“Yes. The examination showed nothing abnormal.”
“What about his head?”
“There was nothing wrong with his head either.”
Upon hearing Kang Myung-woo’s words that there was nothing wrong, Kim Sang-jae turned his head, looked at Kim Seok-ho again, and smirked.
“It’s a relief. I was worried that his already bad head would get worse. If his head becomes as bad as your father’s, wouldn’t that be a big problem?”
“Hyung-nim!”
Kim Woo-jae, who had been patiently waiting for time to pass, could not bear Kim Sang-jae’s words that belittled him in front of his son and stepped forward.
However, that didn’t change anything.
“Why? Am I wrong?”
Kim Sang-jae lowered his boxing form and walked towards Kim Woo-jae.
“You and Seok-ho both are hopeless when it comes to studies. So, shouldn’t you at least do some exercise to make a living? But you can’t even do that, so I’m frustrated. How could you get knocked out in sparring? While wearing a headgear and practice gloves.”
“Hyung-nim, isn’t what you’re saying a bit too harsh?”
“What? Can’t admit it? If you can’t, then try to prove it. Whether it’s you or your son, I don’t care.”
Kim Sang-jae’s face was full of mockery.
Kim Seok-ho felt his heart sink at Kim Sang-jae’s words.
When he heard those words in the past, Kim Seok-ho couldn’t help but confront Kim Sang-jae.
He got involved in an argument and even fought because of the situation Kim Sang-jae had aimed for.
And because of that incident, Kim Seok-ho vividly remembered the experience of being completely out of favor with Chairman Kim Dae-hwan.
“I can’t let this happen again.”
Without stepping back, Kim Seok-ho looked at Kim Sang-jae, Kim Woo-jae, and Kim Seok-ho while silently observing the children of Chairman Kim Dae-hwan.
Then he approached his father, Kim Woo-jae, and grabbed his shoulder, speaking to Kim Sang-jae.
“After getting hurt this badly once, I felt that this path is not for me.”
“Yes. It’s important to find your talent quickly. But if it’s not sports, what else are you going to do? Are you saying you’re going to depend on this place…eh? You’re not saying you’re going to rely on and live leisurely here, are you? That’s the person my father and your grandfather hate the most, a freeloader.”
Kim Sang-jae pointed his finger at Kim Seok-ho and said that he was a freeloader.
Kim Seok-ho glanced towards the commotion on the first floor before calmly answering Kim Sang-jae.
“If I could. I can’t aim to live a carefree life like my brother. I can’t do that.”
“What did you say?”
Kim Sang-jae became agitated when his son’s name was mentioned.
Kim Seok-ho spoke to Kim Sang-jae calmly.
“Since I gave up on sports, I am thinking of aiming for Seoul National University. Just like my youngest uncle.”
Kim Seok-ho declared in front of all the relatives, looking at Kim Chang-jae, his father’s youngest son, under Kim Woo-jae’s hand, that he will go to Seoul National University.
