I’m trapped in a cube :- Chapter 2: The Little Black Person

Chapter 2: Black Little People

“Try to use this.”

The two black little people looked very anxious.

One of them took a stone knife from his waist, cut his finger, and pressed the bleeding finger against the metal wall.

“Useless.”

The little person shook his head.

Mo Ling watched them in confusion.

“Use your finger.”

Another little person ordered.

Upon hearing this, the one who had cut his finger seemed frightened and tried to retreat.

But he was grabbed by the command-giving little person, who pressed his hand onto the metal block and seized the stone knife. With a swift chop, a finger flew off and fell to the ground.

The little person who lost a finger clutched his hand and howled in pain, bleeding profusely.

Mo Ling was so scared that he fell to the ground.

“Luckily, there’s still a layer of metal wall between us.”

But the little person who had harmed his companion wasn’t done yet. He grabbed the one on the ground and started bashing him against the metal block.

Chopping off the palm, arm, ankle, and ear…

Like dismembering, the little person pressed various body parts of his companion against the metal block as if trying something.

The little person muttered while trying, “This one is wrong, this one is also wrong.”

Mo Ling was so stunned by the bloody scene that he couldn’t move.

What on earth are these creatures?

After trying all the organs, the little person opened his companion’s bundle, taking out everything inside.

He then arranged the items on the ground around the metal block like conducting a ritual.

Clothes, food, tools…

There weren’t many things in the bundle, so the black little person impatiently dumped them all out.

His sinister gaze stared at the metal block, as if expecting something to happen.

“This is still wrong!” The little person seemed very irritated, angrily kicking the metal block.

Seeing the clawed foot coming towards him, Mo Ling instinctively dodged back.

Bang!

The metal block didn’t budge, only the angry little person got hurt.

After a short rest, the little person continued taking objects from the ground and pressing them against the metal wall, relentlessly trying.

Nothing happened.

Finally, the little person gave up, packed his things, and prepared to leave.

Now, Mo Ling didn’t like that.

“I need him to continue attacking.”

Mo Ling’s courage gradually grew.

As the little person was about to collect the objects from the ground, Mo Ling focused on one of them and transported it.

The berries on the ground disappeared one by one.

Item after item, the berries on the ground were soon all gone.

Seeing all this, the little person’s eyes lit up, and he hastily took some more berries from his own bundle.

Mo Ling took them all without hesitation.

“Even if this little person can’t save me, I can at least stockpile some food.”

The little person took out all the berries from his bundle and ran out of Mo Ling’s perception range.

When he came back, his arms were full of berries.

After filling some space, there was not much room left inside the metal block, so Mo Ling stopped transporting to leave some space to move.

The little person, seeing the berries not disappearing from his hands anymore, was delighted and put them down again before running off into the distance.

What is he doing?

When he came back this time, he was covered in blood, deep wounds all over his body, staggering.

Step by step, he made his way back to the metal block, then hid behind it hurriedly.

Before Mo Ling could take a closer look, a massive impact hit.

The metal block was knocked 90 degrees!

Fortunately, the little person managed to dodge in time, or else he would’ve been crushed into pulp.

Inside, Mo Ling was thrown around, hitting the inner wall heavily.

Looking out, he saw a ferocious boar-like creature writhing on the ground painfully, its back emitting hot steam, eyes glowing with menacing red light.

The creature soon got up, its dorsal armor raised, curled into a ball, and rolled towards the little person.

The little person immediately hid behind the metal block again as the ball-shaped creature emitted scorching red light, accelerating rapidly as it chased.

Round and round, it narrowly missed hitting the central Mo Ling multiple times.

“At this rate, I won’t last either.”

Though the metal block was sturdy enough, Mo Ling himself was just flesh and blood.

Making a snap decision, Mo Ling hurriedly transported several rocks inside and threw them onto the rolling creature’s path.

But the creature shattered the rocks instantly on impact.

What kind of power is this?

Mo Ling tried setting a trap, but the rolling beast could jump over it easily.

In such a limited field of vision, he couldn’t find anything harder than rocks.

Only one last option was left.

Mo Ling focused his perception on the rolling creature.

Transport!

Inside the metal space, a bloody cube of meat appeared.

The red light on the rolling creature’s body vanished, and it fell to the ground.

Uncurling, a portion of its forelimb was gone, leaving only a cubic hole.

Along the extremely smooth cut surface, blood slowly oozed out.

It worked! Mo Ling immediately seized the opportunity.

The rolling creature’s body continued to develop cubic holes, becoming riddled with them.

Mo Ling threw out the transported meat pieces, causing a rain of flesh in the rainforest.

Soon, the original rolling creature was reduced to a heap of irregular rotting meat, with faintly visible smooth surfaces.

In a puddle, various cubic chunks of meat lay scattered.

“Done.”

Mo Ling let out a long sigh of relief.

The dense green of the rainforest had turned red in his view.

The black little person lay on the ground, trembling and clutching his head, slowly getting up after the commotion ceased.

It glanced around, seeing the surrounding scene, it was terrified and scrambled out of view, no longer retaining its initial arrogance.

As the adrenaline wore off, Mo Ling began to feel nauseous at the bloody sight outside.

Thankfully, after eating worms, Mo Ling’s resilience had grown stronger.

“Trapped here waiting to die, what else is there to fear?”

But now it seemed that the only one who could save him had been scared away.

Rain began to fall outside, washing the blood away, rain droplets hitting the metal block.

The sound of raindrops, filled with the scent of life-giving earth, filled Mo Ling’s perception.

“What a strange feeling.”

Finally calming down, Mo Ling, exhausted, drifted into sleep.

……

When he woke up again, the view had changed.

The surrounding scenery was moving backward; the metal block had been placed on a small cart.

Not just that, a circle of berries had been placed around it on the cart’s board.

Two black little people were painstakingly pulling the cart, seemingly trying to transport the metal block somewhere.

Mo Ling quickly grew alert.

Shadowy figures of black little people constantly flashed outside his view, indicating numerous others around.

Soon, a little person hurriedly ran up to them.

“Hurry and pull this forward, humans are about to break in!”
