Chapter 22 Outpost Point
Bone Crusher?
The title full of aura made Mo Ling full of curiosity.
Following Captain Su, they soon arrived at an entrance in front of a high wall.
The entrance extended deep underground, and as Mo Ling walked down, he realized that this was actually an underground space like an air raid shelter.
Not the kind of maze-like underground air-raid shelter but a type of underground shelter that can accommodate many people and materials.
There was actually another world beneath this high wall!
Mo Ling thought that the outpost point was similar in architecture to the Seventh Monitoring Station, but it turned out to be such a hidden combat facility.
As soon as everyone entered the site, an alarm sounded.
What’s going on? Is it because of us?
Soon someone dispelled Mo Ling’s doubts, a soldier hurriedly rushed to Captain Su.
“Captain Su, the beast tide is coming again!”
Captain Su said calmly, “It’s getting more frequent, deploy as usual.”
“Yes!”
Captain Su asked the taxi soldiers behind him to return to their respective positions, arranged everything properly, and then looked at Li Luo.
“I need to deal with the biological anomalies in the area, you can stay here for now.”
After saying that, he was about to leave.
But Li Luo stopped Captain Su, “Biological anomalies? Can I come and take a look together?”
Captain Su thought about it, then looked at the square behind Li Luo and nodded.
“You can, but you must ensure your safety and not interfere with other taxi soldiers.”
Li Luo quickly agreed.
Following Captain Su to the entrance leading to the high wall, there were already many soldiers lined up and ready inside.
Captain Su gave the order, and the soldiers split into small teams, running out of the entrance in an orderly manner.
When Li Luo arrived on the ground following the entrance, what he saw was the scene of the combat team skillfully besieging various beasts.
After entering the high wall, Li Luo also took out recording instruments, ready to record the biological riots.
Captain Su just took a glance and did not intervene.
Through the instrument, Mo Ling discovered something strange: these rioting creatures were not the same species.
Some of the combat teams were besieging a bull-calf-like creature with eight legs.
This creature looked small but had tremendous strength, sending soldiers who approached flying, only to be trapped by traps laid down and eventually hunted down by the team.
There were also taxi soldiers holding a weapon like a fishing rod, splashing blue paint on it and then flicking it out.
The end of the fishing rod suddenly unfolded into a large blue net, covering a duck-shaped creature in mid-air, allowing the other taxi soldiers to launch an attack.
There was also a creature resembling a carp, flopping on the ground, with water constantly coming out of its body, but it seemed to have no effect.
These strange creatures were of various species, as if a zoo had opened its gates and all kinds of rare birds and exotic animals had run out.
The soldiers were clearly very experienced in facing this situation, quickly restricting these rioting creatures one by one in place.
The chaotic battlefield was divided into small areas, and the soldiers skillfully surrounded and killed these creatures.
Captain Su stood calmly in the back and did not make a move.
However, after the beasts were all killed, Captain Su still stared firmly at the forest behind him.
Any more?
Sure enough, not long after, a creature wriggling up and down like an earthworm squeezed out of the forest.
The earthworm-like creature had concentric rings on its body, and from the gaps in the rings, a brightly red human arm grew out.
The arm struggled to reach outside, as if someone was trapped in the gap between the rings.
Seeing the earthworm creature, the soldiers moved away one after another.
But the seemingly cumbersome body of the earthworm creature suddenly contracted and then shot out like lightning, swiftly sweeping towards several taxi soldiers near the forest.
Human speed couldn’t match the monster, and those taxi soldiers who couldn’t dodge were instantly caught by the arms of the earthworm creature.
Before they could even cry for help, they were wrapped in countless arms, like sugarcane being broken, squeezed into the gaps between the rings, leaving only two arms waving and struggling outside the gaps.
Seeing this scene, no matter how high the psychological quality of the taxi soldiers, they couldn’t help but run away.
The earthworm creature surged again, reaching for the retreating crowd.
But this time, it didn’t succeed.
When Captain Su saw the creature crawling out of the forest, he had already rushed towards it and was standing in front of the earthworm creature.
He took a step to the side of the earthworm creature, bent down, and a white light flashed, breaking off the arm on one side of the earthworm, leaving a smooth cut.
Looking at Captain Su, the weapon that severed the arm of the earthworm was actually a claw!
A long bony claw extended from Captain Su’s fingers, oozing a red bloodstain from the bandage on his hand.
The injured earthworm had no reaction, turned its body around, and tried to grab Captain Su with its other arm.
However, before it could reach out, Captain Su cut off that arm as well.
The earthworm creature seemed to realize that its arms could not harm Captain Su.
So it began to contract its body again, like a spring, charging forward at lightning speed.
Captain Su protected himself with his hands in front, two sharp bone plates suddenly protruded from the front of his forearms.
Although pushed back a few steps by the earthworm creature, the sharp bone spurs also pierced into the body of the earthworm creature.
But the earthworm creature, seemingly insensitive to pain, suddenly reached out its arm from behind and grabbed Captain Su, who was unprepared.
The cage formed by the body and countless arms trapped Captain Su tightly, leaving him no room to breathe.
The arms squeezed inward forcefully, and it looked like Captain Su was about to be crushed and pushed into the spiral gap.
But at this moment, Captain Su’s body was oozing blood, and countless bone spurs pierced out of his body, like a hedgehog, deeply piercing the earthworm creature’s body.
The blood-red arms were broken by the thick and long bone spurs, and the earthworm could no longer restrain Captain Su.
Ribs jutted out straight, pinning the earthworm creature to the ground, Captain Su freed his hands, and the original bone plates quickly extended, turning into a half-human-sized white bone blade.
He fiercely slashed towards the earthworm creature, as if cutting through soft clay, splitting the earthworm creature in half.
The earthworm creature fell heavily to the ground, and the distorted arm that had grabbed Captain Su also slowly loosened.
Captain Su’s bones slowly retracted, leaving only the holes in the bandages and the flesh and blood wounds.
He gasped for breath, staring intently at the earthworm creature’s corpse on the ground.
Just as everyone thought it was all over.
The concentric rings on the earthworm creature’s body suddenly expanded.
Then the rings continued to extend, and the two segments of the body actually turned into two identical earthworm creatures!
The resurrected two earthworm creatures separated left and right, attacking Captain Su.
Facing this situation, Captain Su couldn’t come up with a countermeasure for a while, so he could only quickly dodge and evade the earthworm creatures’ attacks.
