The Shapeshifter Academy: Chapter 29

Shapeshifter Academy’s headmaster, Milane, ignored the deep in thought Renen and beckoned the person across from her.
“Student Won, I suppose you have an idea as to why I’ve summoned you.”
There was a momentary flicker of annoyance in Won’s golden eyes.
“I, the former student council president, have to teach Bendy some duties for a while. Even though it may be bothersome, I’m counting on you.”
“I understand it may be bothersome.”
Milane, taken aback by the straightforward refusal, had an awkward look on her face.
Even though she was the headmaster, it was difficult to give orders to the direct descendants of the family who ruled the werewolf territory.
Especially when it wasn’t just any direct descendant, but someone who was referred to as the next Mastopju candidate.
The headmaster mentioned Won’s status as he spoke.
“You didn’t learn your duties alone. Surely the previous student council president helped you.”
“……”
“Handing over responsibilities is also the role of the previous student council president. I hope you achieve great success.”
Since the headmaster had taken a humble tone, Won didn’t bother to openly refuse and responded in silence. The uncomfortable silence passed.
Breaking the tense silence, Renen leaned back and rested his chin on his hand, opening his mouth.
“Yesterday.”
With a serious tone that wasn’t a response, everyone’s attention turned to him.
“Someone stole my school uniform cardigan, the one I treasured.”
At the same time, everyone turned their gaze away.
Renen, who sat up straight, had a glimmer in his eyes like a discerning detective.
“The culprit is definitely someone who covets me.”
The conversation between Milane and Won concluded as they ignored Renen’s strange issue.
“Anyway, Student Won, I’m counting on you.”
“I will consider it.”
“Are you even listening to me? It’s a strange matter, isn’t it?”
Won wasn’t particularly curious about strange things happening to Renen.
Dang dang dang, the desk trembled as if there was an earthquake.
Sitting in front of the desk like a fixture, I unknowingly tapped my leg.
“It’s about time.”
Last night, Renen suddenly informed me that the previous student council president would visit today.
A noble among nobles, fortunately, they said he was gentleman-like.
The purpose of informing me about the obscure student council president duties was good, but…
The problem was the race.
“A werewolf.”
Even among carnivorous beings, they were the top of the top.
Imagining glistening fur and sparkling eyes, I buried my face in my hands.
How could I have a proper conversation with a wolf, the natural enemy of a deer, in this confined space?
It was impossible.
Especially at this moment when I was confronted with the fear of carnivorous beings a few days ago.
An even bigger problem was that I couldn’t fully trust the magical tool that could change races.
I found out that it wasn’t an instant change, but there was a slight time difference.
Not knowing these circumstances, Renen’s cheerful advice had spun my mind.
“He’s nervous, so it’s better to be careful.”
What happens if a wolf gets nervous?
I anxiously rolled my eyes and reached out into thin air. Even if I exerted all my strength, there was no sign of a gust of wind.
“They probably won’t have good feelings about me either.”
Furthermore, the previous student council president implied failure by being elected.
So it was certain that if they had any feelings towards me, they wouldn’t be good.
Continuously tapping my leg, I soon absentmindedly closed and opened my eyes.
The only person who could give advice on this situation, whether student council president or not, was him. I couldn’t avoid the situation.
“Maybe I should get a taste of his personality.”
On the other hand, Won, who had arrived at the student council office, lowered their eyes. Long eyelashes created shadows under their eyes.
They stopped their hand reaching for the door, recalling Renen’s gloomy advice.
“Those guys are crazy.”
“Isn’t that something you shouldn’t say?”
“No, it’s not a joke… Forget it. I’ll find out when I meet them.”
It didn’t make sense for Renen to mock others.
Furthermore, Bendy, who appeared well-behaved, was far from crazy.

The Shapeshifter Academy

The Shapeshifter Academy

The Shapeshifter Academy, where only carnivore shapeshifters attend.

If there is only one exception in that place,

“…I don’t taste good.”

It was me, the herbivore deer, Bendy Reppy.

I planned to quietly endure until graduation by hiding the fact that I’m a deer, pretending to be a fox, but.

“This year’s student council president is, Bendy Reppy.”

Ah.

No matter how I see it, I think it’s hopeless to graduate quietly.

Hiding my identity, avoiding the carnivore shapeshifters’ fangs, and even doing the Student Council President’s work, I’m so busy to death, but,

“Now, I think it would be a bit of a bummer if the President dies.”

I ended up getting involved with the fool white tiger, who’s crazy,

“It wasn’t long ago when I act annoyingly, saying that I’ll prey on you.”

The troublemaker wolf who feeds off of his own pride,

“Touch me.”

And even a real lion who abruptly asks me to touch him.

The Shapeshifter Academy in which they say that herbivore shapeshifters can’t survive.

“President, you look exactly like that.”

“….”

“A deer.”

I, surely should be able to graduate without getting caught, right?
